With the coming of the Fall comes the beautiful changes in the season and the wonderful color of changing leaves.
Fall also brings our annual CCS Chicken Barbecue and Country Auction on October 18 & 19. It is a wonderful opportunity to volunteer as well as share in the community. I encourage you to attend the auction on Saturday, the 19th, with your children . You will have the chance to work and enjoy interacting with other parent and your students will be able to be a part of presenting their class baskets and enjoy hanging with their friends. Picture Day is coming on October 7. Make sure your children look their best as they pose for their pictures that you will have for years to come.
CCS will be hosting an evening presentation on the November 12 given by Protect Young Eyes to educate parents on how to defend your children from online dangers. This will be free to CCS parents. I encourage you to make this a priority and plan on attending. If you have not seen it already, I would encourage you to watch Childhood 2.0 a documentary on YouTube put out by Protect Young Eyes on the dangers of social media. Keep an eye out for more information to follow.
Also, on November 13, Protect Young Eyes will be presenting to middle and high school students about the dangers of social media and how it is harmful to them.
On March 24 the middle school will be having a social event at Mast Farms Corn Maze , a half mile from the school, and leaving school around 2:15 p.m. Parents should plan on picking up their or arranging for a ride at 4:30 p.m. More information will follow.
