What Happens If There is a Snow Day at CCS?
If school is cancelled for a day due to inclement weather or other unforeseen event, students will have online instruction for their core classes (Bible, Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies). Students will be expected to meet with their teachers at the time their classes normally meet.
In order to join their class virtually, students will need to login to their Google account and then enter their Google Classroom for their course where they will see a "Join" button to join their class.
If we know that there is a chance that school will be cancelled the day before the expected cancellation, and students do not have access to a computer at home, parents may email Mr. Smoker (roland.smoker@conestogachristian.net ) to request a Chromebook and charger be sent home with their student.
Students who do not attend their class will be marked absent and will receive an unexcused absence from that class. If you lose power and do not have access to the Internet, accommodations will be made. Parents should contact their student's teachers when possible to let them know of their situation.
Below is the class schedule for online instruction in the event that school is cancelled. The highlighted times are when students have no class.

December brings many events and activities during this busy time of the year.
Christmas Mission Project
As the Lord leads your family, you can donate new, unwrapped toys or gift cards to children in our community who might not have any gifts under their tree on Christmas morning. Donations can be brought into school until Wednesday, December 6th. (We will be presenting the toys and gift cards to Anchored Ministries on that day during chapel.)
All School Spirit Week
Because of the upcoming all school Spirit Week, your students may be coming home talking about various dress up days, door decorating, and other activities for next week (December 4-8); all culminating in an all school pep rally on Friday at the end of the day. Each grade will be able to accumulate points towards winning the coveted Spirit Stick for this year. Below are the various dress up day themes. The door decorating theme is Christmas Around the World.
Mon 4th - California Christmas
Bring your arsenal of beach equipment and wear appropriate beach wear. Be sure to wear
sunscreen! Those LED lights in the hallways can cause minor sunburn!
Tues 5th - Too Cozy Tuesday
(Jammies) Wear your favorite, most comfortable pajamas to
school. Just don’t act or look like you rolled out of bed.
Wed 6th - Wacky Wednesday
(Ugly Sweater Day) Want to show off your most weird and unique clothing attire? Wear your ugliest sweater in your closet to school. Just make sure to keep it appropriate.
Th 7th - Ho Ho Homies Day (Twin Day)
Show how well you can imitate and look like your friend on Ho Ho Homies Day (Twin Day). Dress up like him/her and do everything they do on a normal school day. Remember, boys dress like boys and girls dress like girls!
Fri 8th - Festive Friday: Colors Day
Your class will dress up in the specific color they are assigned. Shirts, pants, socks, and coats you name it! See if your class has a more colorful spirit than the rest.
Reports Cards
Report cards for the 1st trimester will be available to access on FACTS on December 11. If you have any questions about report cards, please contact Mr. Hepler
Christmas Concert
Thursday, December 14 at 7:30 p.m., our Middle and High School Choirs will be performing and celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Come on out and celebrate with us the "Reason for the Season."
Christmas Break
CCS will be on Christmas Break from December 21-January 1. Students will return to school on January 2.
Sunday, December 17th, 4pm-6pm in the School Gym,
our National Honor Society is hosting a MOVIE NIGHT
to help build community and raise funds to buy backpacks for kids in Senegal.
Ana Schreier, our own CCS senior,
will be going on a mission trip in February to deliver these supplies
to an orphanage that she has done missions work with in the past.
This is a FREE event, but donations are WELCOME!
